If you are at least 14 years, 9 months you will need the 38-hour Driver’s Education Class. Note students can only participate in the driving portion if they are enrolled in 9th grade at a high school or instruction takes place during the summer proceeding the students' 8th-grade year and are 15 years old.
At age 17, you will now need the 38 hour Driver’s Education class, in order to obtain your driver’s license. Age 18 and up can still take the 6-hour Pre-licensing Class but will now need 8 hours of Behind The Wheel Instruction. All driver's license applicants 18 and under are required to obtain a verification of enrollment in a high school. Requirements for Attending classroom Instruction
