Real ID Harvey

In 2005 the Federal Real ID act was passed and the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission were adopted. The act required the federal government to accept only Driver’s Licenses and State ID cards issued by states meeting the requirements of the Real ID Act. This includes screening citizens for commercial flights and entering federal buildings. Luckily ABC Title is an authorized issuer.

  2. Real ID Compliant State ID Card

Although you will not need to be Real ID compliant for air travel until May 7, 2025, ABC Title can issue them now. We can upgrade your current Louisiana Driver’s License or Learner’s Permit making it Real ID Compliant.

For most applicants, this will require an unexpired US Passport OR original birth certificate; verbal confirmation of your social security number, and two different proofs of residency. (All documents must be in paper form and cannot be digital as we must scan them to the state).

The requirements for a Louisiana Real ID compliant State ID Card are the same as those for a Real ID Driver’s license, except that if you have both a Driver’s License and State ID, they cannot both be Real ID compliant.  We can upgrade your current Louisiana State ID making it Real ID Compliant.
